This is David's first book for a musical.

Previous work in family theatre includes directing The Big Bad Musical, co-directing Haphazardly Ever After. He has played the roles of King Rat in Dick Whittington, Baron Waysland in Jack and the Beanstalk, Captain Braid Beard in How I Became a Pirate, Genie of the Lamp in Aladdin and Parkin in the original workshop and cast recording of Phil's musical One, Two, Three Little Pigs.

Phil is a musical director, choir master, educator and composer.

His work as a musical director has taken him around the country (and beyond) on musicals and pantomimes. He won Showtime on Sunday's Music Score of the Season award for his work on Peter Pan at the Sheffield Lyceum in 2018.

Previous compositions include Christmas oratorio Prepare The Way and the scores for The Lighthouse Cat's Christmas Adventure and children's musical One, Two, Three Little Pigs.
